I would like to introduce an impressive view point in Taiwan Nantou.

"忘憂森林" is a Chinese fir forest. In the area, all the fir dead and tree trunk was partially immersed in Marsh.

What happened to the forest?

The reason this area became marsh is because of the horrible earthquake in September 21,1999.
Falling rocks and strong shock change the landform, and rainwater just stocked.
Tree root immersed in water, and trees dead.
The region came into a unique landform.

If you want to get there, just be careful about the foggy weather, and steeped uphill.

It has very different views between seasons.
Rain season is during June to October, and dry season is from November to May.

Let's have a look to the majestic and mysterious views in rain season. :)
